Century Flooring unveils new brand identity, launches new “Classic Collections” product lines

New merchandising and marketing materials feature stylish new look; Six new collections feature 100% domestically harvested and manufactured wood

Columbia LogoDallas, August 28, 2008 – Century Flooring has re-launched its brand, with a complete overhaul of its logo, website, packaging, marketing materials and merchandising elements, as well as a new focus exclusively on domestically harvested and manufactured woods in all of its product lines.

In its inaugural product launch as the “new” Century, the brand has unveiled six new lines of solid hardwood and engineered wood flooring – collectively called the “Classic Collections” – that highlight the best of traditional American woods, including oak, maple, hickory, cherry and walnut varieties. The six new lines encompass a total of 56 new items.

“When our dealers and distributors think about Century’s precision-crafted wood floors, we want them to think ‘clean’ and ‘classic.’ There’s no better way to convey that than through the fresh new look of our marketing and merchandising materials – a look that’s both streamlined and traditional,” said Donnie Bower, Century Flooring’s brand business unit manager. “Additionally, many homeowners feel frustrated and confused by the overwhelming number of hardwood flooring options.  We want to help them, and our dealers, by providing a selective assortment that focuses solely on the most beautiful, classic American wood looks.”

Century has also begun integrating its CenturySeal Advanced finish, a new finish with 3M technology, into many of its product lines.  This new finish, which is added to the wood during the curing process, helps repel grime and stains – ultimately making Century products much easier to clean and maintain, because they do not attract dirt as quickly as those not finished with CenturySeal Advanced.

Century has also implemented an innovative PureBond formaldehyde-free engineered flooring technology that replaces traditional urea formaldehyde hardwood plywood construction with technology that adds no formaldehyde to the finished flooring, creating products that are healthier for families and the environment.

Century Flooring products will continue to be offered exclusively through a network of the finest North American wood distributor specialists.
