What: Lawry’s The Prime Rib gets into the holiday spirit with its Christmas in Italy Dinner. Come experience the culture, food and wine of an authentic Christmas in Italy. Lawry’s restaurant manager Steve Giancotti joins with Chef Matt Melton to prepare family recipes and share time honored Italian holiday traditions. Featured menu items and wine pairings include:
- Handmade Smoked Salmon Ravioli, with a lemon vodka alfredo; 2006 Cecchi Vernaccia Castello di Montauto
- Lentil and slow cooked Cotechino Sausage Soup; 2005 Banfi Chianti Riserva
- Parmigiano- Reggiano Frico Cornucopias, a parmigiano crisp stuffed with baby spinach and goat cheese salad; 2005 Cecchi Morellino di Scansano Riserva
- Grouper al Forno con Funghi Trifoliate, baked grouper with roasted chanterelles, autumn vegetables ragout finished with a chard tomato olive oil; 2004 Banfi Cum Laude
- Sicilian Cannolo, filled with a tart lime curd and complemented by a vanilla bean mascarpone crème; N.V. Banfi Rosa Regale
