Presidium at Edgestone is the City of Frisco’s first luxury age-restricted community of its kind
May 12, 2020 – Presidium, a diversified real estate investment and management firm, has completed phase one of Presidium at Edgestone, the only luxury age-restricted senior living community with freestanding independent living cottages to be developed in the City of Frisco, Texas. Designed by Cross Architects and conveniently located near more than $8-billion worth of commercial and retail developments, including The Star and Plano’s burgeoning Legacy West, the approximately 18-acre gated community carefully balances the needs of today’s seniors who desire an active, maintenance-free lifestyle.
“The completion of the first phase of Presidium at Edgestone has continued to fuel our passion for this project. This campus not only provides residents with a heightened sense of privacy in a luxury setting, it also helps ease the transition of moving from a single-family home,” said John Griggs, Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Presidium.
Phase one of Presidium at Edgestone consists of seven one-story cottages, each with 4-5 residences featuring open floor plans with 9-9.5-foot ceilings, quartz countertops and tile backsplashes, wood plank and ceramic tile flooring, energy-efficient appliances and light fixtures, walk-in closets and private patios.
Once fully complete later this year, Presidium at Edgestone will also include a three-story residential building with high-end amenities, including multi-purpose clubrooms, a resort-style swimming pool, a fitness and wellness center, a library and wifi lounge, a media and game room, a hair salon, a cinema, an arts and crafts center, pavilions, a bocce ball court, a walking trail, a dog park and a resident gardening area with shade structures. Edgestone’s residents will also have access to a full calendar of services and programs.
Designed to achieve certification by National Green Building Standards (NGBS), Presidium at Edgestone is expected to be recognized for the campus’ high performance in six key areas: site design, resource efficiency, water efficiency, energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, and building operations and maintenance.
Presidium at Edgestone will ultimately boast 188 units and be managed by Capstone Real Estate Services, Inc., a recognized leader in age-restricted housing management. Capstone has successfully operated more than 13,000 units of senior housing since 2002, and currently has approximately 50 senior living communities under management, with 17 handled from its greater Dallas/Fort Worth office.
Members of the Frisco community can expect to see Presidium at Edgestone open its doors in Summer 2020.
